The CIA has declassified a report on life on Mars: here's what transpired on the red planet before the fall of its civilization.

The confidentiality of the CIA report was lifted back in 2017, when the document was first made public. However, for some mysterious reason, it has recently drawn renewed interest from the public. The contents of the report titled "Mars Exploration May 22, 1984" are actively being discussed on social media and are featured in newspaper articles.

A Million Years Before Our Era

The text refers not to modern Mars, but to what it was like a million years ago: someone, under the CIA's direction, visited the planet during that distant period and reported what they saw. The information was gathered as part of the "Stargate" project, which the Pentagon began working on in 1977, later joined by the intelligence agency.

It is important to clarify that no one physically traveled to Mars. An astral body was sent to the neighboring planet, which moved through space and time. Telepathy and clairvoyance theorists believed and still believe that this is possible. According to them, an astral body can leave the physical body and travel great distances, theoretically to any distance, even to other galaxies. The astral body is considered an aspect of the soul.

So, the CIA, based in Fort Meade, Maryland, decided to organize such an "expedition" — starting with Mars.

There was no point in traveling to Mars in the present time — automatic stations had already explored that there was no life there. Therefore, the "astral scout" ventured into the past of the Red Planet, assuring the CIA that he possessed the necessary abilities. However, he was "assisted" in his journey by listening to binaural rhythms and semi-synchronized audio recordings — a kind of sound drugs that induce altered states of consciousness.

Tired of Dust Storms

The CIA agent overseeing the experiment (designated as MON in the report) asked the "scout" (designated as SUB) to visit different regions of Mars, providing specific coordinates. He requested movement through various times — within the agreed-upon million years before our era. He suggested looking slightly earlier or later than what SUB was currently observing.

What he saw included ochre-colored landscapes, giant pyramids, enormous buildings carved into the high walls "of smooth stone", wide roads, aqueducts, some spires, and megaliths. He witnessed fierce dust storms and… Martians taking refuge from them in the pyramids.

The Martians were described as extraordinarily tall and thin, while the pyramids were filled with rooms but devoid of any furniture.

Regarding the Martians, the report states from the "scout": "Very… again, very tall, very large… people. But they are thin. They appear that way due to their height, and they dress like… Oh, damn, it’s like real light silk, but the clothing doesn’t billow in the wind. It is tailored to fit closely to the body."

SUB realized that the Martians were gradually coming to an end, as natural disasters had overwhelmed them. There were almost no tranquil places left:

"Their time has passed. They take it philosophically. They are searching… for a way to survive, but simply cannot find one."

According to SUB, for some time, a small group of Martians survived "inside something resembling the interior of a large ship." Surrounding them was "a lot of vegetation, while in another place, there was none. And the storm here is different."

I Bend Spoons and Read Minds

Several factors prevent the dismissal of the "astral scout's" report as complete nonsense. Firstly, serious and authoritative physicists from the Stanford Research Institute — Harold Puthoff and Russell Targ — were involved in the "Stargate" project. Both were, however, interested in parapsychology.

Secondly, the project was only closed in 1995. Did the CIA waste nearly 20 years? Did they squander government funds?

Thirdly, there were indeed results — at least in telepathy. Experiments in this area preceded the "Stargate" project.

In 1973, scientists involved in the research "tested" Uri Geller — the famous British psychic known for bending spoons with his mind, stopping the hands of the Big Ben clock in London, and making stopped alarm clocks around the world start working again.

The essence of the "tests": experimenters randomly drew images, thought about them, while Geller, sitting at a distance, was supposed to capture the thoughts sent to him and reproduce the images.

Uri Geller drew for about a week. And he correctly reproduced a large portion of the mentally sent images accurately. At least, in terms of storyline.

If we are to believe the documents from the declassified CIA archives, telepaths were involved in many real operations to locate missing persons, the whereabouts of hostages, and sabotage groups. Psychics were also used to search for lost technology. Allegedly, in 1979, they pinpointed the location of a crashed military aircraft almost precisely ("within a radius of 24 kilometers").

Whether "astral scouts" ever succeeded in penetrating "enemy territory" to gather any secrets remains unknown. However, archives contain information that telepaths managed to "distinguish nuclear targets from non-nuclear ones."

- I did a lot for the CIA, - Geller told journalists. - I was present near places where politicians were conducting important negotiations on nuclear deterrence. And I suggested: sign, sign!

IN SUMMARY

The "Stargate" project was officially closed in 1995 — the astral method of gathering intelligence was deemed unreliable. However, this does not mean it was completely abandoned — it may still be applied as an auxiliary tool.

As for Mars… Objects resembling pyramids do indeed exist there. Recently, a virtual archaeologist named Sandra Elena Andrade discovered one using the Google Mars service — that is, images from orbit. The length of one side of the pyramid's base is 2750 meters. And on one of its faces, there is an entrance 200 meters high and 100 meters wide.

However, it is unlikely that anyone was hiding in these, or any other Martian pyramids, a million years ago. Even if there was some life on Mars, it ceased 3-4 billion years ago — this is the opinion of most scientists. Although enthusiasts are not fully convinced of this. They simply consider the neighboring planet underexplored.

If, for instance, humans were to disappear from Earth, then after just 100,000 years, there would be no visible traces of a highly developed civilization left on its surface. And after a million years — certainly none. In this sense, our planet would become comparable to Mars.
