In the U.S., "flying saucers" are frequently discovered: several objects have been spotted in images captured from space.

“Virtual explorers,” traveling online through countries and continents, have perplexed themselves and other social media users with a new ufological mystery. Enthusiastically examining satellite images of the Earth's surface utilized in Google Maps, they spotted yet another “flying saucer”. This is how the disk-shaped object appears, located in the hilly region of the American state of New Mexico, approximately 60 kilometers from the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge.

The coordinates of the object are: 34°24'21.6"N - 107°05'44.5"W. It rests (or stands?) at an altitude of 2255 meters, with a diameter of just over 10 meters. Nearby, there are no buildings, roads, or even paths. It is quite logical to assume—most social media users likely did—that something landed, crashed, or broke down there and has been lying there ever since. In short, this “flying saucer” is most likely extraterrestrial. Part of its edge is concealed by vegetation—covered in soil, where small bushes have begun to emerge.

By the way, extraterrestrials have already visited New Mexico – in 1947. They crashed their “saucer” near the town of Roswell, if one believes the most persistent and widespread ufological legend.

The new “saucer” has been in the same spot for over 20 years—evidence from a 2003 photo (with lower resolution) already shows it. Enthusiasts discerned a white “circle” of the disk.

Some “dug” even deeper—they found a photo of the same area from 1975 (with even lower resolution). Instead of a white disk, it shows some black dot. This led users unfamiliar with ufology to speculate: there used to be a water collection tank here, and later a building with a round roof was constructed in its place—something like a research station. After all, it is a refuge. Currently, the building is abandoned, and thus the path to it has overgrown. However, in 2003, it was still visible.

Nevertheless, even rational enthusiasts suggested sending a drone to the object—to check what is actually there. What if it really is a “flying saucer”?

Aliens on American military bases?

In 2017, a photo from Google Earth featuring a “flying saucer” on the runway of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) near Los Angeles went viral.

“Name Shame”—the “virtual researcher” who first noticed the photo—claimed he saw the same disc-shaped object three years prior, but in a different location—on a field adjacent to the runway. Allegedly, the object cast a shadow—indicating it was hovering above the field.

Google Earth periodically updates its images using fresh photos from space. Since the “saucer” had moved at least from one spot to another, it is clearly not a building, concludes the enthusiast. In his opinion, it is most likely an aircraft being tested here that is occasionally rolled out of a hangar. The question is, whose is it? Ours—terrestrial? Or did we borrow it from the aliens?

Several years earlier, an impressive photo was presented to the public by Joseph Skipper—a “virtual archaeologist” known for his numerous discoveries of extraterrestrial artifacts in images from Mars and the Moon. He spotted a “saucer” in a photo taken just south of the legendary “Area 51”—the most secret military testing ground in the USA. The somewhat elongated disc-shaped object appeared either to be flying or hovering.

Skipper estimated the diameter of the elongated disc-shaped object, located a few meters above the surface, to be around 50 meters. It looked metallic—shining in the sunlight. On top, there was some dome that appeared slightly darker.

Interestingly, the object closely resembles the one spotted at the JPL site. Both are similarly elongated. It is possible they are the same “saucer.”

According to one of the recent hypotheses, the objects that sometimes appear in satellite camera lenses somewhat validate the sensational and seemingly entirely fantastic claims of so-called informants. Speaking before the US Congress, they asserted that American military forces had recovered several either crashed or shot-down extraterrestrial spacecraft, and are now restoring them. The US government carefully conceals that it funds this program of re-engineering or reverse engineering. What if it truly exists? And is indeed connected to extraterrestrial technology? And we doubted…

At the bottom of the ocean near the Nazca plateau

Notable virtual archaeologist Scott Waring typically conducts “excavations” on Mars, but three years ago made a discovery on Earth—specifically in the Pacific Ocean, examining its floor using Google Earth.

Several hundred kilometers off the coast of Peru, slightly to the left of the underwater Nazca Ridge, which stretches 1100 kilometers almost perpendicular to the famous Nazca plateau—that very one marked by giant mysterious geoglyphs—Scott discovered a protruding object of perfect circular shape. It appears as a foreign body next to the shapeless and angular features of the relief, as if lying atop them.

The object is enormous—its diameter is about 7 kilometers. Scott believes it did not end up near the Nazca plateau by chance. He suggests that both, the giant geoglyphs and the giant object, are somehow related to aliens. And at the bottom lies a “flying saucer” that they once flew over the Nazca plateau, painting it.

The virtual archaeologist also has a more outlandish alternative hypothesis. He does not rule out that the round object is Atlantis. If not the entirety, then its main city, which was round. Scott believes this city could well have been floating and represented a massive alien mothership.

What happened to the “mothership”? It sank. For what reason Scott does not know. But he believes that some underwater apparatus like “Mir,” which dove to the sunken “Titanic,” should be sent to the “disaster site.” The depths in the area where the object lies are not excessive—around 4,000 meters.
