Shavkat Rakhmonov met with the Uzbek boxer following the cancellation of his UFC title fight.

Kazakh mixed martial artist Shavkat Rakhmonov held a friendly meeting with Olympic boxing champion from Uzbekistan, Bahodir Jalolov, as reported by Caravan.kz.

According to Shavkat's Instagram post, the athletes met over lunch, enjoyed pilaf, and discussed important matters.

“Good luck to you, brother, in your next fight,” Jalolov captioned the photo, addressing Rakhmonov.

Followers appreciated the friendship between the two renowned athletes and noted that such mutual support is crucial for each of them.

It’s worth mentioning that Shavkat Rakhmonov had to withdraw from the UFC welterweight title fight in May due to a troubling injury. As a result, the current champion, American Belal Muhammad, will defend his title against Australian Jack Della Maddalena. UFC head Dana White assured that the winner of the Muhammad-Maddalena fight will definitely face Rakhmonov in the next bout.
