According to information from RP-online, the incident occurred before the start of the Kreisliga C match (the 11th division of German football), where the teams "Taxi Duisburg II" and "Rot-Weiss Mülheim III" were set to take the field.
The referee noted in his official match report that during the document check, a small child was running around near the players of "Taxi Duisburg." According to the referee, at one moment, the child unexpectedly bit him.
Following this incident, the referee was forced to seek medical assistance, as he was unable to officiate the match. The game was rescheduled for another day.
It was later revealed that the little troublemaker was the son of one of the players from "Taxi Duisburg."
