The coach of Kazakhstan's world champion in freestyle wrestling, Rizabek Aitmukhan, Darhan Beisenov, spoke to Caravan.kz about the preparation of his athlete for the match against a renowned opponent from the USA at a major tournament in Almaty.

On February 25, the PWL 8 tournament will take place at the Baluana Sholaka Sports Palace in Almaty, featuring the first official match between Kazakhstan's Rizabek Aitmukhan and American Kyle Snyder in freestyle wrestling.

Snyder is an Olympic champion (2016) and a vice-champion of the Olympics (Tokyo 2020) in the 97 kg weight category. Aitmukhan was the world champion in the 92 kg weight class and also the world champion among juniors (U20) and youth (U23) in the 97 kg category. Previously, the wrestlers had not faced each other in official competitions, making the upcoming match in Almaty their first encounter.
