The Kazakhstan youth national team concluded the group stage of the 2025 World Ice Hockey Championship in Canada with a 1:3 defeat to Switzerland, failing to advance to the playoffs, as reported by Caravan.kz.

In their final group stage match, the Kazakh players were unable to overcome the Swiss team. Goals for Switzerland were scored by Simon Meyer in the 2nd minute, Robin Nico Antenen in the 38th, and Ludwig Johnson in the 49th. The only goal for Kazakhstan was netted by Kirill Lyapunov in the 9th minute.

Over the course of four group stage games, the Kazakhstan team managed to earn just one point. The top four teams from the group advanced to the playoffs, but Kazakhstan was not among them.
