The Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan and the President of the NOC congratulated the men's short track team on their historic gold medal achievement.

At the IX Winter Asian Games in Harbin, Kazakhstan's men's short track team triumphed in the 5000-meter relay, securing the country's first gold medal.

This gold medal has become historic — previously, Kazakhstani short track athletes had not reached the top of the podium at the Winter Asian Games, reports Caravan.kz, citing the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerbol Myrzabosynov, congratulated the team on this achievement, emphasizing the importance of the victory for national sports:

“I wholeheartedly congratulate the Kazakhstan short track team on their historic victory! Today, our compatriots delighted the fans and brought the country its first gold medal. The anthem of Kazakhstan was played in the central square of China, and our flag flew on the winners' podium.
