Minister Kanat Sharlapaev has been appointed as the president.

On January 25, 2025, Minister of Industry and Construction Kanat Sharlapayev took on a new role. He was elected as the president of QAZAQSTAN RUGBY — the Rugby Federation of Kazakhstan.

The Federation is actively involved in the development of youth rugby, promoting the sport, and building infrastructure. One of the most successful areas of the Federation's activities is the support of women's teams.

As of now, the Kazakhstan women's rugby team holds the 19th position in the world rankings and performs successfully in international tournaments. Men's and youth teams are also developing actively.

It should be noted that earlier, Nursultan Seydaliev was appointed as the new head of the Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of the Almaty region.
