Kazakhstan has officially announced the roster for its national team that will participate in the XXXII World Winter Universiade, taking place from January 13 to 23 in Turin, Italy, as reported by Caravan.kz.
The National Scientific and Practical Center for Physical Culture of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan stated that the team consists of 103 athletes representing the country in 10 sports: biathlon, short track, cross-country skiing, figure skating, winter sports orienteering, freestyle skiing, alpine skiing, as well as in men's and women's ice hockey and para cross-country skiing, which has been included in the competition program for the first time.
The lineup of the Kazakhstan team for the Universiade-2025 is as follows.
Biathlon
Men: Vadim Kuraless, Vladislav Kireev, Kirill Bauer, Yerzhanat Kuandyk, Nikita Akimov.
Women: Arina Kryukova, Aisha Rakisheva, Milana Geneva, Polina Egorova, Alina Skripkina.
Short Track
Men: Sanjar Zhanisov, Alisher Abulkatimov, Damir Kurmanov, Aibek Temirkhan, Dinmukhamedaldiar Tajibay, Valery Klimenko.
Women: Alina Azhgalieva, Yana Khan, Zeynep Kumarhan, Polina Omelchuk, Anastasia Galechina, Malika Ermek.

We remind you that the 2025 Winter Universiade will gather approximately 2000 student-athletes from 57 countries. The competition program features 96 sets of medals in 11 sports. According to FISU rules, participants must be aged between 17 and 25, be citizens of the country they represent, and be enrolled in a higher education institution.
