Kazakhstan's Yulia Feklistova and Denis Rastruba, participants of the 2024 Youth Winter Olympics, have become vice-champions in the team event for parallel mogul at the World Junior Championships (under 19) taking place in Almaty at Shymbulak, as reported by Caravan.kz.
The results in the team event for parallel mogul depend on the combined performances of two participants — one male and one female.
For the upcoming home World Championship 2025 among juniors, Kazakhstan has fielded 5 duos, the same number as the USA. Two duos are representing Sweden, while Germany, South Korea, and Ukraine each have one duo.
Three-time junior world champion Anastasia Gorodko, paired with Semyon Rusakov, finished their competition in the quarter-finals. However, the duo "Kazakhstan-2," consisting of Yulia Feklistova and Denis Rastruba, advanced to the finals, outperforming the duo "USA-5" first, followed by "USA-1" and "Sweden-1" in terms of total points. In the final, Feklistova/Rastruba lost to "USA-2," represented by junior world vice-champion Riza Chapdelaine and Gia Cohen. The final score was 42:28 in favor of "USA-2."
The podium was completed by the team "USA-3" (Anabel Ayad and Chez Litfield).
