Kazakhstan's Paralympians ranked in the Top 3 at the 2025 Universiade.

Kazakhstani Paralympic skiers showcased impressive results at the World Winter Universiade-2025, which has commenced in Turin, Italy, reports Caravan.kz.

In the 10 km freestyle race, athletes from various Paralympic classes participated. Among the Kazakhstani competitors, Denis Zinov secured 4th place in the overall standings (the combined results of all classes), while Roman Kurbanov finished 7th. However, both athletes reached the podium in their respective classes.

Specifically, Denis Zinov was the runner-up among skiers competing in the LW3 class, and Roman Kurbanov, accompanied by Anton Zhdanovich, placed 3rd in the NS3-100% category. They were recognized separately on the podium during the award ceremony.

Additionally, it should be noted that the Kazakhstan team has also earned a gold medal at the Universiade-2025, which was claimed by Anastasia Gorodko in freestyle mogul on the first day.
