On February 22, two major sporting events will take place in the capital: the Kazakhstan Super Cup football match and a game featuring HC Barys. Due to this, high traffic congestion is expected, and temporary changes will be implemented for the convenience of residents, reports Caravan.kz. The football match between "Kairat" and "Aktobe" will be held at the "Astana Arena" stadium at 3:00 PM, while the HC Barys hockey match will take place at the "Barys Arena" stadium at 5:00 PM. To ensure an even distribution of traffic flow, separate routes will be organized for entering and exiting the arenas:
For football match spectators – traffic will only be allowed through Qabanbay Batyr Avenue.
For hockey match fans – entry and exit will only be possible via Turan Avenue.
It is noted that traffic restrictions will begin several hours before the matches and will remain in place until their conclusion. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and account for potential delays.
It was previously reported that roads in western Kazakhstan have been closed.
