Kazakh freestyle skiers clinched historic gold at the Asian Games.

The duo from Kazakhstan — Sherzod Khashirbaev and Roman Ivanov, won the gold medal in synchronized jumps in freestyle acrobatic skiing at the 2025 Winter Asian Games in Harbin, reports Caravan.kz.

They surpassed two strong Chinese duos, including Olympic champions, to claim the top spot on the podium. This achievement is historic for freestyle acrobatics, as medals at the Asian Games had previously only been won in women's or mixed team competitions.

It is also worth noting that the duo of girls — Arda Makhanova and Ayana Zholdas, won bronze medals in women's synchronized jumps on February 11.

As a result, Kazakhstan now has 11 medals at the Asian Games, including 2 golds.
