Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov outlined the strategy needed to defeat his protégé, current UFC champion Belal Muhammad, reports Caravan.kz.
In an interview with Pound 4 Pound, Nurmagomedov stated that it is quite challenging to beat his student Belal Muhammad.
“If you want to beat Belal, I think you need to stop him. First and foremost, you have to be ready to neutralize his attempts on the ground; secondly, he is strong in striking and possesses knockout power. Now imagine having to counter all of that for 25 minutes,” Khabib said.
He admitted that it would be extremely difficult for him to prepare a fighter capable of defeating Belal.
It’s worth noting that Muhammad's next opponent in the UFC will be Kazakh fighter Shavkat Rahmonov.
