All four of our freestylers have successfully qualified for the "parallel mogul" event. They will now showcase their skills in both the small and big finals of the Winter Universiade 2025.
First, the female competitors will battle for medals in the evening program on January 15, where our country's honor will be defended by Anastasia Gorodko and Ayaulem Amrenova.
Three-time junior world champion and current competition winner Anastasia Gorodko will compete for a spot in the finals against Japan's Yuma Taguchi. In another semifinal, there will be another Kazakhstan-Japan showdown, where Ayaulem Amrenova will face off against Marin Ito.
In the men's semifinals, spectators can look forward to the following matchups:
Jackson Edward Crockett (USA) – Anton Bondarev (Kazakhstan).
Fyodor Bugakov (Kazakhstan) – Shima Kawaoka (Japan).
It is worth noting that the day before, Anastasia Gorodko secured the first "gold" for the Kazakhstan student team at the Universiade 2025.
