The Russian coach Stanislav Cherchesov, who holds the position of head coach for the Kazakhstan national football team, expressed satisfaction with the lack of wins and goals from teams in Group B of the Nations League, as reported by Caravan.kz.
Cherchesov made this surprising statement during the post-match press conference following yet another defeat for the Kazakhstan national team in Group B of the Nations League.
“These Nations League matches are crucial for the team's recovery for World Cup qualification. At this point, I am pleased with what we have already accomplished,” Cherchesov stated after the match.
It is worth noting that under Cherchesov's leadership, the Kazakhstan national team has not achieved a single victory and, furthermore, has not scored a single goal. Therefore, the head coach's statement has, to put it mildly, surprised the fans.
