UFC champion has announced the potential date for a fight against Shavkat Rakhmonov.

The holder of the UFC welterweight championship title, Belal Muhammad, shared insights on his preparations for the title defense against Shavkat Rakhmonov and mentioned approximate timelines, reports Caravan.kz.

Belal Muhammad (24-3) stated that he is ready to significantly surprise Shavkat Rakhmonov (19-0) in the upcoming fight.

“I think I’ll return right after Ramadan. It would be ideal to fight in May or June. Last week in Vegas, I trained with Khabib's team, and it was a great shock for my body; it helped me rejuvenate. My body is finally starting to get back to normal. Shavkat has never fought anyone who resembles me. When we get in the cage, he will realize how different I am from other fighters. He will understand that there are different levels in this game,” Muhammad assured.

It is worth noting that UFC 315 and UFC 316 are tentatively scheduled for May and June, and the Muhammad vs. Rakhmonov fight could be the main event of one of them.
