Kazakhstan mixed martial artist Rasul Khataev has been banned from competing in international events under the auspices of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), reports Caravan.kz.
The reason for the anti-doping rule violation case against Khataev was a doping test conducted on February 17, 2023. The analysis revealed the presence of drostanolone and clomiphene. According to the International Testing Agency (ITA), the athlete has been suspended from October 16, 2024, to October 15, 2027.
It is worth noting that on November 30, Khataev competed at the professional tournament Alash Pride FC 102, where he achieved a knockout victory over Uzbek fighter Feruz Yusufjanov. Khataev's highest accomplishments in amateur MMA (under IMMAF) include winning gold medals at the World Championship and the Asian Championship in 2023 and 2022, respectively.
