Almaty's "Kairat" has claimed the title of Kazakhstan's football champion.

“Kairat” secured a victory against “Atyrau” in their last match (1:0) and became the champion of Kazakhstan in football for the year 2024, reports Caravan.kz.

In Atyrau, during the final round of the Kazakhstan Premier League, the “black and yellow” team triumphed over the local “oilmen” with a score of 1:0. The only goal of the match was scored from a penalty by Georgian legionnaire Giorgi Zaria. FC “Kairat” accumulated a total of 47 points over the season.

At the end of the season, “Kairat” finished with 47 points. The club from Almaty received the gold medal of the RK championship and a spot in the UEFA Champions League for the 2025/26 season. One point less was earned by “Astana,” which took home the silver medals and a “ticket” to the UEFA Europa Conference League for the 2025/26 season. The bronze medal was claimed by the team “Aktobe” with 43 points. Since “Aktobe” already qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League as the holder of the RK Cup, the 4th place team, Shymkent’s “Ordabasy,” also became a participant in the UEFA Europa Conference League for the 2025/26 season.

Let us remind you that FC “Kairat” was previously crowned the champion of the country in 1992, 2004, and 2020.
