The champion of Kazakhstan in football, Almaty's "Kairat," has unveiled its plans for the preparation for the upcoming season, during which the team aims to defend its title, reports Caravan.kz.
After resting following their victorious season, the national champions gathered at their training base on January 5 to commence preparations for the upcoming season, where the club will compete as the reigning national champions. Additionally, they are expected to participate in the Super Cup, the RK Cup, and the UEFA Champions League. According to the team's press service, players will gradually return to training after their break, focusing on regaining optimal physical condition and preparing for intense workloads.
The second stage of the pre-season preparation will take place from January 25 to February 15 in Turkey. During this phase, the team will engage in a series of seven friendly matches against opponents from various countries:
29 January — "Borac" (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
01 February — "Iberia 1999" (Georgia)
05 February — "Pari NN" (Russia)
08 February — "Samgurali" (Georgia)
11 February — "Dynamo" Makhachkala (Russia)
14 February — "Kamaz" (Russia)
14 February — "Khimki" (Russia)
"All friendly matches will be broadcast live. More detailed information will be published later. After returning to Almaty, the team will continue preparations for the match for the Kazakhstan Super Cup," the statement noted.
