According to Akorda, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that Finland is a reliable and proven partner of Kazakhstan in the Northern Europe region and the European Union as a whole.
Furthermore, during their conversation, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Alexander Stubb reaffirmed their commitment to further developing bilateral relations, including in trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. They noted the successful implementation of joint projects involving Finnish companies in areas such as pharmaceuticals, industrial engineering, and machinery.
There was also an exchange of views on pressing international and regional issues, as well as cooperation within multilateral organizations. The President of Kazakhstan wished Finland success in its presidency of the OSCE.
As a result of the negotiations, the presidents of Kazakhstan and Finland reached an agreement on mutual visits, which will provide new momentum to strengthen the political and economic partnership between Astana and Helsinki.
Following this, Tokayev met with the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló.
The President referred to Guinea-Bissau as one of Kazakhstan's significant partners on the African continent. He also confirmed Astana's commitment to strengthening friendly ties and mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan is an open country that follows a peaceful policy and possesses the largest economy in the region. He emphasized that good prospects for partnership are opening up for both countries.
According to the head of state, despite the geographical distance, Kazakhstan and Guinea-Bissau can develop cooperation in the fields of agriculture, logistics, and information and communication technologies.
For his part, Umaro Sissoco Embaló expressed gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for the opportunity to discuss the development of bilateral relations.
