Tokaev met with Oman's Foreign Minister to discuss new avenues for cooperation.

The President of Kazakhstan met with Oman's Foreign Minister, Badr Al-Busaidi. During the greeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev referred to Oman as a reliable and trusted partner of Kazakhstan, emphasizing his commitment to furthering cooperation between the two countries.

The president also noted that there is significant untapped potential for strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Oman, both bilaterally and within the context of regional and international agendas.

Seizing the opportunity, the head of state conveyed greetings to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and confirmed an invitation on his behalf to visit Kazakhstan.

"Oman is held in high regard in Kazakhstan. Your country generates immense interest among our citizens, including businessmen and cultural figures. Therefore, we need to give a strong impetus to make our cooperation more diverse and fruitful." Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

The head of Oman's foreign ministry expressed gratitude to the president for the warm reception, emphasizing that it reflects a high level of mutual respect between the countries.

"We are closely following the developments in Kazakhstan with great interest. We are deeply impressed by the large-scale reforms aimed at the welfare of the country and its people. The rapid growth of Kazakhstan's economy, its significant position in this region of the world, and the key role it plays in strengthening good-neighborly relations for the sake of peace and security truly astonish us. We highly value your foreign policy, which is focused on establishing justice and promoting universal peace, security, and prosperity," the diplomat noted.

During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation in transportation and logistics, agriculture, and cultural-humanitarian fields were discussed, as well as in the area of digitalization. The establishment of direct air links between the two countries was also discussed, which would enhance mutual connections.

Moreover, the interlocutors exchanged views on pressing issues of regional security and cooperation within multilateral organizations.

Earlier, Tokayev met with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev. During the meeting, issues related to the comprehensive deepening of the strategic partnership between the two countries were discussed. Additionally, today, February 25, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia conveyed greetings from Vladimir Putin to Tokayev.
