Sagimbaev also reported on the ongoing initiatives aimed at the prospective development of national security agencies, improving the structure and organization of operational and service activities.
Furthermore, as noted in the Akorda publication, the head of the National Security Committee (KNB) informed the president about efforts to strengthen the agency's personnel and technical capabilities, update the regulatory legal framework, and optimize and digitize service processes within the KNB.
"Presented data on the situation in areas such as countering international terrorism and religious extremism, organized crime, drug trafficking, ensuring cybersecurity, and the protection and safeguarding of the state border," – stated in the official message.
In the concluding part of the meeting, the president issued several directives regarding key areas of activity for the national security agencies.
Today, January 20, Tokayev also met with the Minister of Justice. Yerlan Sarsembayev reported on the main directions of the justice agencies' activities, as well as the goals and objectives of the ministry.
