In his telegram, Tokayev emphasized that Zoran Milanović's success in the elections is a clear testament to the trust citizens place in his policies aimed at the prosperity of Croatia.
The head of state also expressed confidence that the bilateral relations between Astana and Zagreb, founded on friendship and mutual understanding, will continue to strengthen for the benefit of both nations.
It was previously reported that the incumbent President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, won the presidential election, securing over 74% of the votes in the second round.
The President of Croatia is elected for a term of five years and primarily performs representative functions, while the government determines domestic and foreign policy.
