On December 28, 2024, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting regarding the plane crash near Aktau. The president instructed officials to prevent any information provocations and misinformation.

During his speech, Tokayev issued several directives. Firstly, the Government Commission must ensure that all necessary medical and psychological assistance is provided to the affected foreign citizens, as well as pay special attention to the relatives of deceased Kazakh citizens.

The Government Commission and the General Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with other authorized bodies, have also been tasked with ensuring a comprehensive and objective investigation into the plane crash.

"The President emphasized the importance of preventing informational provocations and fake news. Additionally, he stated the need to thoroughly examine the state of aviation safety across the country," the Akorda statement noted.

During the meeting, reports were also heard from the chairman of the Government Commission, Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbaev, General Prosecutor Berik Asylov, Chairman of the National Security Committee Yermek Sagimbaev, Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov, and Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova.

On December 25, a plane crashed near Aktau. There were 67 passengers on board, including five crew members.

The number of survivors from the plane crash in Aktau was 29 people. Prior to the incident, the aircraft may have collided with birds. The plane was carrying citizens of Kazakhstan. Unfortunately, none of them survived.
