President Tokayev emphasized the exceptional significance of the visit, marking a new milestone in the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and France.
"I am convinced that today’s negotiations, as well as the Joint Statement we are adopting, will elevate the relations between Kazakhstan and France to a strengthened strategic partnership. Taking this opportunity, I would like to sincerely congratulate you on the successful hosting of the thirty-third Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. They have truly become a grand event in the world of sports, and their organization impressed with its scale and high level of execution. I am confident that your country will also brilliantly host the upcoming twenty-sixth Winter Olympic Games in the French Alps in 2030." Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev
He also highlighted that the agreements and arrangements reached during Macron's visit to Astana last year contributed to the qualitative deepening of Kazakh-French relations.
"Today, there is an active and trusting political dialogue between our countries. Kazakhstan and France closely collaborate on the international stage, jointly promoting ideas of peace and sustainable development within multilateral platforms. Your country is one of the largest trading partners and leading investors in Kazakhstan's economy. Currently, over 200 companies and joint ventures with French capital successfully operate in our country. We are grateful to the leaders of French business for their commitment to conducting business in Kazakhstan and for fruitful cooperation." Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev
The President of Kazakhstan underscored the ongoing strengthening of cultural and humanitarian interactions, especially in the fields of education, science, medicine, and history. He also expressed gratitude for organizing the national exhibition of Kazakhstan at the legendary Guimet Museum of Asian Arts.
In conclusion, the head of state expressed confidence that the results of the visit would contribute to the well-being and prosperity of both countries.
The President of France noted the importance of the negotiations that will provide additional momentum to Kazakh-French cooperation.
"Thanks to you, in recent years, the partnership between our countries has significantly strengthened," said Emmanuel Macron, addressing Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev.
During the negotiations, the heads of state thoroughly discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in the fields of machine engineering, transport and logistics, agriculture, energy, industrial cooperation, climate, digital development, and healthcare. Special attention was given to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.
There was also an exchange of views on pressing issues in the regional and international agenda.
Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev arrived in France on a state visit on November 4, 2024. At the airport in Paris, the President of Kazakhstan was welcomed by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.
