"By the decree of the head of state, Shaimardanov Zhandos Nurlanovich is relieved of his duties as the chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the message published on the Akorda Telegram channel states.
Zhandos Shaimardanov was born on February 24, 1987, in the East Kazakhstan region. In 2009, he graduated from the University of York in the UK with a degree in Economics and Finance on a Bolashak scholarship. In 2020, he obtained a Master's degree in Business Analytics and Big Data from IE University in Spain.
He began his professional career in 2009 at the Ministry of Economy and Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a chief expert. From 2010 to 2023, he held various positions at JSC "Samruk-Kazyna", the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC "NUH "Baiterek", JSC "QazTech Ventures", the National Bank of Kazakhstan, and the Bureau of National Statistics. He is a member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve.
He has held the position of chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan since September 16, 2023.
The new head of the ASPiR of the Republic of Kazakhstan is 38-year-old Aset Irgaliev.
Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan appointed a new assistant. The position was taken by Kanat Sharlapaev, who served as the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan since September 4, 2023.
