According to data from Akorda, during the meeting, Tokayev praised the results of Satybaldy's work in the Turkestan region.
The head of state also noted that the position of the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration is being introduced to enhance management processes and regional cooperation, strengthen oversight of the implementation of decisions and his directives at the local level, as well as improve the quality of measures taken and bolster public trust in state institutions.
As a result, key tasks were set for Darhan Satybaldy, which he will need to carry out in his new role.
Satybaldy served as the akim of the Turkestan region since 2022. On January 6, 2025, he was relieved of this position and appointed as the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration.
The region is now headed by Nuralkhan Kushev.
