The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has appointed Arman Kirybaev as his assistant for domestic policy and communications.

According to a statement from the Akorda press service dated February 24, 2025:

"By the decree of the head of state, Kiryakbaev Arman Orazbaevich has been appointed as the assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for internal policy and communications, and he has been relieved of his previous position."

Arman Kiryakbaev was born in 1976 in Astana.

In 1996, he graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Management (Narxoz University) with a degree in economics, and in 2002 he completed the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a specialization in international relations.

He began his career in 1996 as a referent in the CIS and Baltic Countries Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

From 1997 to 2000, he served as an attaché and III Secretary at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.

In 2002, he was appointed II Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

From 2002 to 2005, he was the director of the Strategy and Monitoring Department of JSC "AVE Corporation" and the director of the branch of "Oiltrans Limited" in Almaty.

From 2005 to 2006, he worked as the Deputy Akim of the Medeu District in Almaty and as the director of the State Fund for the Development of Youth Policy in Almaty.

From 2006 to 2008, he served as the director of the Department of Socio-Political Work and Public Relations at the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2008 to 2010, he was the chairman of the Culture Committee at the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan.

From 2010 to 2012, he was the Deputy Akim of Karaganda Region.

From 2012 to 2013, he served as the Vice Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan.

From 2014 to 2015, he was an advisor to the First Deputy Chairman of the "Nur Otan" party.

From 2015 to 2019, he served as the Deputy Akim of Almaty.

From 2020 to 2022, he was the Secretary of the Nur Otan party.

From 2022 to 2024, he served as the Deputy Akim of Almaty.

On March 9, 2024, he was appointed head of the Communications Department of the Presidential Administration.
