Seilbek Nurymbetov has been appointed as the head of the new committee in the Ministry of Water Resources.

"By the order of the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurymbetov Seilbek Sergazyuly has been appointed as the chairman of the Committee for the Regulation, Protection, and Use of Water Resources of the ministry."

Seilbek Nurymbetov was born in 1983 in the Kyzylorda region.

He graduated from Kyzylorda State University named after Korkyt Ata, Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, and the Russian State Agrarian University – K. Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy.

He began his career in 2006 as the acting leading specialist in the Department of Agriculture of the Kyzylorda region.

From 2010 to 2011, he worked as an engineer at the KGU "Water Management Kyzylorda".

From 2011 to 2020, he served as a leading specialist, chief specialist, department head, deputy head of the Administration, and head of the Department of Agriculture of the Kyzylorda region.

From 2020 to 2023, he was the head of the Aral-Syrdarya Basin Inspection for the regulation of water resource use and protection.

In 2023, he became the deputy chairman of the Committee for Water Resources of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since December 2023, he has been the project leader of the Water Management Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Regarding the new committee, it was established on July 15, 2024, and will combat the illegal use of water and the distortion of its accounting data, as well as unlawful economic activities on the country's water bodies.
