Welcoming the Hungarian diplomat, the head of state highlighted the high level of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Hungary.
The progressive development of political dialogue at a high level and active intergovernmental cooperation were emphasized.

Kasym-Jomart Tokayev expressed satisfaction with the dynamic implementation of agreements signed during his state visit to Budapest last year. According to him, their consistent realization will contribute to the further deepening of comprehensive partnership.
The head of state conveyed greetings and best wishes to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Péter Szijjártó also conveyed warm greetings from the Prime Minister of Hungary to the President.

The Minister informed Kasym-Jomart Tokayev that his visit to Astana is aimed at discussing various aspects of the practical implementation of agreements previously reached at the highest level with relevant ministries and agencies.
During the meeting, the interlocutors addressed a number of pressing issues on the bilateral agenda, paying special attention to expanding mutually beneficial ties in trade, economic, and investment spheres, as well as in energy and the banking sector.
Additionally, there was an exchange of views on current international issues.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev awarded Péter Szijjártó the Order of Dostyk II class for his contribution to the development of Kazakh-Hungarian relations.

Earlier, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev listened to a report from Prosecutor General Berik Asylov on the state of legality in the country and the results of work on priority areas of supervisory activities.
