Подробности соглашений между правительствами Казахстана и России стали известны.

The head of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan spoke about the dynamic development of the transport sector and a number of important initiatives aimed at improving transit corridors and infrastructure.

"One of the main issues has been the work on the North-South corridor, which is actively being developed by both countries. This route connects Belarus and Russia with Kazakhstan, and then through Turkmenistan opens access to the South Caucasus," the message published on the Telegram channel of the RK government states.

Furthermore, according to Marat Karabaev, our country is creating favorable conditions for Russian exporters by expanding the capabilities of the ports of Aktau and Kuryk. Plans for conducting dredging works in the Russian port of Makhachkala have also been discussed.

The minister also highlighted the prospects of a new third railway crossing point at the border with China, which will be a significant step in developing transit flows between China, Russia, and Kazakhstan.

"I cannot overlook the ongoing synchronized work on the crossing points. This year, we are starting modernization at six crossing points. This will certainly increase their throughput capacity by two times or more. We discussed synchronizing the work to modernize both in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and in the territory of the Russian Federation at the same time. We outlined the mechanism for the operation of the points, so that during this period they do not close, but can operate in a certain format," summarized Marat Karabaev.

As reported by Azat Sultanov, Kazakhstan intends to increase the supply of wheat and other agricultural products to European countries through the territory of the Russian Federation.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture also noted that an agreement has been reached between the parties to partially lift restrictions on the export of meat and meat products from our country.

"Due to the epizootic situation in Kazakhstan, the Russian side had previously imposed restrictions on the import of meat products. Today, we have reached an agreement with our Russian colleagues and lifted this restriction concerning the southern and southeastern regions. We are now working on lifting restrictions from the entire territory of Kazakhstan," Azat Sultanov reported.

It was previously reported that the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektanov, and the Chairman of the Government of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, held bilateral negotiations in Astana. During this meeting, issues related to the implementation of agreements reached between Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vladimir Putin regarding the increase in the volume of bilateral trade were discussed.
