Another new member has been appointed to Kazakhstan's Central Election Commission.

Senators appointed Lyazzat Suindik as a member of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kazakhstan.

On November 7, 2024, this was announced by the head of the Senate apparatus of the RK Parliament, Maxim Spotkai.

"During the Senate meeting, the deputies supported the candidacy of Lyazzat Suyndik for the position of a member of the Central Election Commission, having previously discussed the matter within the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Judicial System, and Law Enforcement," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Lyazzat Suyndik graduated from the Eurasian National University named after L. Gumilyov and the Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. She is a scholarship holder of the "Bolashak" program and studied at the University of Sheffield in the UK.

"She has extensive experience in the field of communications and has held responsible leadership positions for a long time at the Ministry of Information and the Agency 'Khabar,'" Maxim Spotkai added.

Earlier, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made changes to the Central Election Commission of the RK:

  • released Sabila Mustafina and Konstantin Petrov from their positions as members of the CEC;
  • appointed Azamat Aymanakumov and Mikhail Bortnik as new members of the Central Election Commission.
