As Saparov noted at the press conference following the government meeting on February 11, 2025, the availability of feed is at a sufficient level.
"Dzhut – when all types of livestock die, there is a mortality rate. In reality, there is enough feed, especially since we provided subsidies. Why was there no mortality of cows, cattle, or small livestock in Ulytau? Because they were kept at home, and there was enough feed," said Aydarbek Saparov.
He mentioned that there were instances of horse fatalities in the Ulytau region. The animals were on pasture and died due to the negligence of their owners. Feed reserves in the farms are sufficient for 1.5 years.
Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan warned livestock breeders about adverse weather conditions and requested them to check their feed supplies and take measures for the successful wintering of livestock.
