"By the decree of the head of state, Zhamaubaev Yerulan Kenjebekovich has been appointed as the first deputy chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and he has been relieved of his previous position," the publication states.
Yerulan Zhamaubaev was born on March 25, 1974.
From 1996 to 1998, he began his career as a trainee teacher and lecturer at KazGAU.
From 1998 to 2014, he worked as a leading specialist and director of a department at the National Bank.
From 2014 to 2015, he served as the managing director of JSC "Housing Construction Savings Bank of Kazakhstan."
From 2015 to 2018, he was the deputy head and then head of the social and economic monitoring department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2018 to 2019, he served as an assistant to the President of Kazakhstan.
From 2019 to 2020, he was the responsible secretary of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
From 2020 to 2022, he held the position of Minister of Finance.
From 2022 to 2024, he served as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
Since May 20, 2024, he has been appointed as an advisor to the President of Kazakhstan.
It was also announced that Yerbol Adaev has taken a position in the Presidential Administration, succeeding Nurdaulat Toleev. Additionally, on February 17, Alexey Kalaychidi was relieved of his duties as head of the Law Enforcement System Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
