The corresponding orders were signed by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on February 17, 2025:
- By the order of the head of state, Alexey Kalaychidi was relieved of his position as head of the Law Enforcement System Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- By the order of the head of state, Dauren Ergarin was appointed as the head of the Law Enforcement System Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Alexey Kalaychidi was born on January 3, 1963, in the city of Esik, Enbekshikazakh District, Almaty Region. In 1985, he graduated from the Frunzen Polytechnic Institute with a degree in "Mining Engineering" and in 2008 from Karaganda State University named after E. Buketov with a degree in "Law". He holds the special rank of Major-General of Police (since May 4, 2020).

He began his career as a foreman at Special Management No. 93 in the city of Tokmak, Kyrgyz SSR, and as an engineer at GPI "Yuzhgorselproyekt" in Shymkent (1985-1989). He was a student at the Higher Academic Courses of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR (1989-1990), an investigator in the criminal police, and the head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the South Kazakhstan region (1990-1998), deputy head of the department, head of the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (1998-2005), head of the legal service, head of the personnel inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (2005-2006), and deputy head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Zhambyl region for educational and personnel work (2006-2008). He then served as an inspector, head of the sector, and deputy head of the Law Enforcement System Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2008-2016), head of the Law Enforcement System Department of the Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2016-2019), deputy minister of internal affairs (2019-2021), and head of the Security and Law and Order Department of the Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan (from July 2021 to August 31, 2023).
He held the position of head of the Law Enforcement System Department of the Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan since September 1, 2023.
Dauren Ergarin was born on January 10, 1982, in the West Kazakhstan region. He graduated from West Kazakhstan State University named after A.S. Pushkin (2002) and West Kazakhstan State University named after M. Utemisov (2006).

He began his career in various operational and managerial positions in the Department for Combating Economic and Corruption Crimes (Financial Police) in the West Kazakhstan and Almaty regions (2004-2012). After that, from 2015 to July 2024, he held various positions in the Anti-Corruption Service.
Before his new appointment, from July 2024, he was the deputy head of the Law Enforcement System Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Previously, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev relieved Nurdaulat Toleyev from his position as head of the General Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was succeeded in this role by Yerbol Adaev.
