- in the Zhetysu region, city of Zharkent – 2 points;
- in the Almaty region, village of Chundja – 2 points.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are no reports of casualties or damage.
Earlier, on January 16, an earthquake occurred 109 km from Almaty.
