According to the TV channel "KTK", a 41-year-old man held a woman, with whom he had previously been in a relationship.
She was the only survivor that night. As reported by Azamat Turushev, the deputy chief physician of the Aktobe Regional Multidisciplinary Hospital, the victim was brought to the intensive care unit with a traumatic brain injury, a concussion, multiple wounds, bruises, and abrasions.
Witnesses stated that the street where the tragedy occurred was cordoned off by the special police at night. Neighbor Marzhan Tazhekenova recounted: "We experienced terrible fear. We were asked not to leave our homes. Later, we heard a loud bang, and then noticed a man being taken out of the house to a police car."
It is known that the victim has a minor son who, according to some reports, witnessed the horrific scene. He managed to escape from the house and inform relatives living across the street about what had happened.
The motive for the crime has not yet been established. Preliminary information indicates that the attacker was sober. The police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident and the reasons that led to the tragedy.
On the evening of January 13, news emerged from Aktobe that an unknown individual had broken into a private home and taken a girl hostage. A few hours later, the police reported a successful operation to free the hostages. It was later revealed that two victims did not survive.
