An aviation incident involving the airline was reported today, January 28.
"Due to the absence of deviations in the operation of the aircraft's systems and engines, the crew continued the flight and landed at Astana Airport in a normal mode. Upon arrival, multiple damages were discovered on the aircraft, including the compressor blades in the left engine and areas of the fuselage, as well as bird remains, including inside the engine," the statement said.
These samples will be sent for DNA testing to determine the species of the birds in order to prevent similar incidents at Uralsk Airport.
On January 25, an An-24 aircraft rolled off the runway in the Russian village of Nelkan in the Khabarovsk region and crashed into bushes. Preliminary data suggests that it experienced an engine failure.
