The police reported that the incident occurred in the Eskeldin district. The driver of an unidentified vehicle, traveling along Eskeldi bi street in the village of Karabulak, struck pedestrians who were walking along the roadside and then fled the scene. One of the pedestrians died at the scene from their injuries.
"Upon receiving reports of the incident, the police initiated a search. The driver of a 'Toyota' vehicle, who turned out to be a 37-year-old local resident, was apprehended and taken into custody shortly after the incident. A pre-trial investigation has been launched to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident," the agency stated.
The police urge all road users to strictly adhere to traffic rules and remain vigilant on the roads.
