As reported by the Kostanay Telegram channel "Our Newspaper," Judge Anara Shaimuranova announced during the explanation of the ruling that Nikolai Fedorenko was charged under two articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
- Art. 189 – Theft and misappropriation of entrusted property;
- Art. 218 – Money laundering.
According to the judge, the prosecution dropped the charges under Art. 218 during the court proceedings. Fedorenko admitted guilt under Art. 189, compensated for the damages, and reconciled with the victims, who were from the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kostanay Region. Due to the reconciliation of the parties, the criminal case against Fedorenko was terminated.
After announcing the ruling on the reconciliation, Judge Anara Shaimuranova stated that she issued a private ruling addressed to the Department of Economic Investigations of the Kostanay Region. It indicated that the employees of the DEI had committed procedural violations, and the management was required to respond to the judge's private ruling.
"During the reconciliation, Nikolai Fedorenko mentioned that he felt compelled to admit guilt to expedite the court proceedings and because he needed to leave for competitions. He also stated that he faced jealousy from other coaches," the publication reports.
The court ruling has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed.
Recently, two residents of the Kostanay region were bitten by monkeys. This information was provided by the press service of the Rudny Multidisciplinary City Hospital. Additionally, in the West Kazakhstan region, two officials, one of whom is a district akim, were fined 20 MRP each.
