According to the press service of the Turkestan region police, preliminary reports indicate that the driver of one vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle.
"As a result of the accident, six people died, and four others with various injuries were hospitalized in a medical facility in the city of Kentau. Currently, all circumstances are being investigated, and a pre-trial investigation is underway, after which a procedural decision will be made," the police reported.
The Turkestan regional police department urges everyone to adhere to traffic rules, avoid speeding, and not to enter oncoming lanes.
A fatal accident also occurred in Uralsk: on the evening of February 2, a car plunged into the Chagan River, and the bodies of two men were found inside with no signs of violent death.
