In the Akmolinsk region, police apprehended a 34-year-old man suspected of attempting to steal over 10 tons of wheat intended for planting from a farmer.

Law enforcement officials emphasize that the villager worked for 14 years at this farming enterprise.

"On February 20, a report was filed with the police by the head of one of the local farms. He reported that there was an attempted theft of 10.16 tons of wheat seeds from his business. The damage amounted to about 2 million tenge. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated under part 3 of Article 188 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan 'Theft,'” the police reported.

Additionally, two more men have been identified as possibly involved in the crime. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.

Police officers urge farm managers to remain vigilant, implement reliable video surveillance systems, and take additional measures to protect their property to avoid becoming victims of crime.

It was previously reported that a hacker stole 350 million tenge from the account of a children's hospital in the Jambyl region. The incident occurred in May 2024. As a result of the investigative and operational activities, a previously convicted 33-year-old man was detained.
