Information has spread on social media regarding a man who passed away in the intensive care unit of a local hospital around 11:00 PM. The editorial team at Zakon.kz reached out to the press service of the Kostanay region police for a comment.
"Experts must also address the question of whether there were any violations of safety regulations during the work. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated by the police regarding violations of labor protection rules that led to the death of an individual. All circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated," the police stated.
Additionally, the regional health department commented on the tragic event.
"On February 13 at 19:22, a patient born in 1966 was admitted to the emergency room of Kamystinskaya RB with the diagnosis of 'multiple fractures of the spine and pelvic bones' and 'traumatic shock of 1-2 degrees.' The patient's condition was critical, and he was hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Examination and treatment were conducted according to medical protocols. A forensic medical examination established that the patient was in a state of alcohol intoxication. Unfortunately, biological death was confirmed at 22:40," the doctors reported.
Earlier reports indicated that a worker died in Atyrau after falling from the fifth floor.
