The editorial team of Zakon.kz reached out to the press service of the Almaty region police department for a comment.
"A comprehensive investigation is underway regarding the distribution of a video recording from the temporary detention facility, which captures the birthday celebration of one of the detainees. All responsible parties, including management, will be held strictly accountable. The progress of the investigation is under special control. Measures have been taken to eliminate the causes and conditions that led to this violation," the police responded.
It was previously reported that the investigation into the murder of Sherzat Polat will be completed by the end of the year.
