As reported by the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the East Kazakhstan Region, police officers were nearby, preparing for a team quest-training session under the guidance of the department's psychologists.
"The first responders were the patrol police battalion officers of the Department of Internal Affairs of the East Kazakhstan Region, but the most prompt and efficient reaction came from Police Major Kairat Bazarbaev – a negotiator psychologist from the special rapid response unit of the Department of Internal Affairs of the East Kazakhstan Region. With paramedic skills and multiple experiences in saving lives, the officer assessed the situation in seconds," the police stated.
It was noted that instead of specialized medical tools, the negotiator used his metal badge with a personal number to extract the victim's tongue and prevent choking. This helped to normalize the man's breathing and stabilize his condition.
Meanwhile, his colleagues called an ambulance. The medical team arrived promptly at the scene and took full control of the situation.
Earlier, it was reported that police officers assisted a foreigner on the highway from Almaty to Ust-Kamenogorsk.
