According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an explosion of a gas-air mixture occurred in the house, which led to a fire. By the time the emergency services arrived, the flames had engulfed the roof of the building.
"The area of the fire was 120 square meters. Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of the emergency services of the Akmolinsk region and Astana, the fire was extinguished in a very short time, preventing it from spreading over a larger area," the press service explained.
During the fire, a 16-year-old teenager was injured, suffering burns and was hospitalized. Doctors assess his condition as stable.
On January 19, 2025, a fatal traffic accident occurred in Almaty on Al-Farabi Avenue. A 20-year-old driver of a Toyota lost control, veered off the road, hit the curb, and then crashed onto the sidewalk, where he struck a 39-year-old woman. As a result of the accident, she died at the scene.
