During a search, operatives discovered 34 packages containing a prohibited substance, allegedly "methadrone," with the exact weight and composition to be determined by forensic chemical examination.
"The detained individual resides in the city of Astana and has been previously convicted twice for property crimes. According to his statements, he began engaging in criminal activities about a month ago and even underwent special training: curators conducted so-called master classes, teaching how to hide drugs, create photo reports, and avoid attracting police attention," reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Despite the extensive training, the man was unable to evade capture for long.
A pre-trial investigation is underway. The drug courier has been apprehended and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Earlier in Atyrau, brothers were detained with over 1 kilogram of drugs.
