Graphic footage emerged on social media on February 14. The description states that a 4-year-old boy complained at home about being hit in kindergarten. In response, the parents decided to review the recordings from the surveillance cameras and discovered that the caregiver had been obstructing the crying child's airways for an extended period, dragging him by the legs, and generally treating him harshly.
The parents contacted the police.
The press service of the Almaty police department reported that a criminal case has been initiated by the police department of the Bostandyk district regarding the failure to fulfill duties in the upbringing of a minor.
"The circumstances of the incident are being established. Those responsible will face consequences in accordance with the law," the statement said.
On February 12, a verdict was delivered in Atyrau against a kindergarten employee who struck a five-year-old child during a class.
