The medical staff at the trauma department of the regional children's hospital were unable to remove the puck from the finger, which by that time had already swollen and turned red.
"The emergency services personnel removed the puck using rescue tools called 'cutters,' carefully snipping the metal part. This took a couple of minutes," the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the RK reported.
The rescue operation ended successfully; the child was only frightened and did not require any medical assistance.
In Astana, police rescued a 12-year-old girl who had fainted on the street. Law enforcement officers found the child during their patrol, called for medical help, and provided first aid until the doctors arrived.
